Welcome to the Kilmorey Lodge

The Kilmorey Lodge was built in 1926 and was one of the original buildings in the Waterton town site. Well-known for its country inn ambiance, the lodge was adorned with antiquities of Waterton’s past and offered guests a genuine escape from the city, nestled next to Emerald Bay and boasting rooms with no TVs or phones. The on-site restaurant, The Lamp Post Dining Room, was an award-winning favorite among locals and visitors alike. In the early morning of January 20, 2009, the Kilmorey burnt down. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the event was tremendous loss for locals and past guests.

After almost a decade, the Kilmorey is now officially in the process of being rebuilt. The lodge will stay true to its reputation of hospitality excellence and pride of service, and will help lead the way into Waterton’s future by providing visitors with a unique and modern facility. A new experience and new memories built on the foundations of the past.

It will be an 18 room hotel with a restaurant and bar on the main floor and staff housing located in the basement. If you have any comments or questions about the building proposal, please use the following contact form below.
